“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!” Lol as you can tell, I am super excited for the holiday’s this year. I have been perfecting my concoction of hot chocolate and I think I have it down to a science…finally discovered how to make my own version of Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. After being so disappointed with the restaurant versions, I decided to make this my conquest. Needless to say, I conquered! Haha, the proof of my win was the look on the kiddos faces last night. Tonight, I am contemplating baking some sugar cookies after dinner.
Apart from our family’s activities, I do think about those military men and women that are deployed and unable to spend time with their loved ones this holiday season. I also think about those that are less fortunate and individuals that may be depressed for any reason. If you find yourself in one of those situations, please know that you are not alone. I also believe that you did not stumble upon this blog post by accident…it was meant for you to read this. Please know that you are loved and despite any situation that you face, you will make it through. I can say this because my family and I have experienced some traumatic situations…from childhood to adulthood. In retrospect, I can honestly say that those situations have shaped me into a much better person. Just last week, I was feeling kind of blah, but I pushed through to get to a Christmas party that I was invited to. Getting all fabulous and ready to slay in my skirt was my much needed pick-me-up. Ain’t nothing wrong with a little Christmas slayage!
This gif was so me! I was running super late, but at least I showed up FABULOUS! Yassss! This was just one of my creative ways to get into the Christmas Spirit besides baking Christmas cookies and concocting new hot chocolate flavors. I can honestly say that I went from being bummed to excited! What are some creative ways that you get into the Christmas Spirit? Let’s chat about it in the comments! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
