After serving in the United States Air Force, my children and I experienced homelessness. It was during those times of despair when I realized that I wanted to do more to help other Sisters in Arms that were experiencing hardships during and after serving in the military. Five years after separating from the military in 2015, Battle Beauties Fashion was established in St. Louis, Missouri and in April 2017, the online boutique was launched.

In my experience while serving in the United States Air Force, I longed to expressed my femininity outside of the military uniform.  As women veterans, there are weight standards that we have to uphold…the sad part is that we often allow those standards to define us.

After separating, I was drawn to the fashion industry.  So now I have decided to, not only design clothes for military women, but build an online fashion community to aid in helping military veteran entrepreneurs establish businesses.  I wanted to build a brand that gives back!

Ultimately, the true essence of who we are as military women is that we are all Battle Beauties.  We make sacrifices particularly, for our country and families.  Nevertheless, we want to feel beautiful, sophisticated, and EMPOWERED!  We have a voice and we use it in creative ways.  Our voice makes a difference. Fashion can be used as a vehicle to change lives.
